Bali zoo now has a unique new program to offer Balinese visitors, namely breakfast with Orangutans. This program is the first time in Indonesia where Bali visitors who are interested in having breakfast with Orangutans will be picked up at their hotel at around 7:00 a.m. to be taken to the Bali Zoo located in Denpasar.
An oddly fun breakfast
After arriving at the Bali Zoo, visitors will be taken directly to one of the zoo sections to have breakfast with 3 or 4 orangutans. Some simple menus for breakfast available here are fruits, fruit or vegetable juices, and toast served with butter and various jams. In addition, you can also order typical Indonesian menus such as yellow rice. Visitors are also allowed to feed the orangutans with certain fruits or vegetables provided by the zoo. The orangutans will be there with their nannies.
Visitors are also certainly spoiled by the authentic taste of Balinese coffee. After breakfast, visitors will be invited to tour around the zoo and have the opportunity to feed animals there. This is the right place for those of you who want to get a different holiday experience.
Some visitors stated that this was a pleasant experience, but some thought that this was just another form of animal exploitation. Orangutans or other wild animals should not be too close to humans. Besides being susceptible to transmission of certain types of poets, some cases show that humans consider that orangutans or other wild animals are tourism objects and does not show respect for those animals.
Kids will really like this place. They can see a variety of animals directly and even interact with some of them. Kids not only have fun, but they are also invited to learn about nature and animals. Some parents deliberately invite their children to breakfast with Orangutans to be closer to nature.
